"Along with my brother and two sisters, we grew up on beautiful prairie lands in Central Wisconsin! Life was good - life was perfect! We drove those country prairie roads to and from school, to the lake in the summer, hunting in the fall, our small-town jobs, and visiting neighbors. We all knew hard work. I had many jobs growing up, including as a dishwasher (by hand) in a Supper Club, at a farm market through high school and college, and I helped my family manufacture vitamins. It was a good life! Nothing says the good life to my family like what that old road in the country now symbolizes so profoundly— that is home!
The picture on the front page of this website looks just like the road I grew up on - that is personal. But, what is also personal is protecting freedom and democracy.
If there is one thing I care about as much as my family, it's protecting America. Her ideas and values for all of our citizens! We have something beautiful here—this idea of a great life! For those who find their way to our shores and into the heartland, they too will find it is true!
There are times when DC is the last place anyone wants to be. When that happens, I remember that prairie road I grew up on and all of the good neighbors I knew and what this City on a Hill called Washington is supposed to represent for them. Sometimes we have to sacrifice in the short term for the life we all want to live.
I solemnly promise that whatever your prairie road is as a business leader, we will help to keep the flame lit in Washington! We will work hard for you every day. Truth and goodness will prevail when we stand together for freedom."
